DMPS and Nomi Health Offer COVID-19 Testing Sites

NOTICE: As of April 1, 2022, Nomi Health’s COVID-19 testing site is located at the Kurtz Opportunity Center (1000 Porter Avenue),  providing tests for those who have pre-registered on nomihealth.com/iowa/ and have secured an appointment. When people arrive at the sites, they should have a QR code on their phone or printed out with an appointment time. The change to an appointment-only model was made to better accommodate the number of people requiring a test while allowing frontline workers conducting the tests to better meet the needs of the Des Moines community.

Nomi Health, the direct healthcare company coordinating COVID-19 testing and vaccination efforts across the country, is partnering with Des Moines Public Schools to give students and staff members priority access to COVID-19 testing.

The drive-thru site offers both rapid antigen testing (with a 1-hour turn-around time) and PCR testing (with a 24-48-hour turnaround time). Samples are processed in a CLIA-certified laboratory using FDA-authorized kits.

Hours
Monday – Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Saturday: 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM

Location

Throughout the pandemic, DMPS has held multiple vaccination clinics for staff and students, offered online learning options and made operational changes ranging from improved air circulation to installation of more than 5,000 hand sanitizer dispensers.
