Staff enjoyed painting pencil name plates for a healthy U activity!
A huge thank you to Windsor Heights Hyvee. They won 10,000 Box Tops in a General Mills competition and donated them to Windsor Elementary (That is $1,000) Families remember to clip those box tops when you have them!
The last day of classes before Thanksgiving break included a big mix-up at Windsor Elementary School – on purpose. Mix It Up at Lunch Day is an international campaign under the auspices of an organization called Teaching Tolerance that encourages students to cross social boundaries. 2018-19 marks the centennial year for Windsor Elementary School, and that calls for some special celebration – and decoration! Current students are painting a mural on a retaining wall that borders a parking lot at the school. It’s so awesome, the TV news has already been by to check us out! During up coming art classes, students will have the opportunity to work together painting a mural at Windsor, to commemorate the 100 year anniversary. If the weather is nice we will be going out side to paint …
